R v Liddard

Our client was originally charged with the murder of a Thames riverboat captain following an altercation in which the defendant  punched the deceased, who then had a heart attack which resulted in his death.  The deceased had suffered from a pre-existing heart condition. This was a forensically complicated case in which the expert medical evidence was central and our client was subsequently convicted of manslaughter following a trial. Kirsty Monighan was junior counsel in the case, which ensured continuity of representation by members of our firm from the police station right through to the trial at the Old Bailey.
