R v C

Our firm acted for one of a number of young defendants facing charges arising out of an incident on Brixton Hill during which a young man was stabbed on a busy Saturday afternoon.  Petrol bombs were thrown in the course of the disorder, in what was alleged to have been gang related violence.  One of the issues at trial was the admissibility of postings on social networking sites and of rap lyrics said to relate to the offence.  All defendants were acquitted following the trial.
