R v Kanyare

This case involved an allegation of conspiracy to obtain radioactive 'red mercury' for terrorist purposes. The trial attracted significant media attention as the main prosecution witness was the News of the World 'fake sheikh' journalist Maz Mahmood.  All defendants were ultimately acquitted.


R v James

Our client was charged with multiple atempted murders by shooting alleged drug dealers.  The case involved consideration of a large volume of prosecution evidence, reluctant witnesses and the evaluation of complex forensic evidence from the scene.


R v Head

Our client had significant learning difficulties and was charged, together with his identical twin brother, with the murder of a man in his home in South East London.  The defendant and his brother both gave evidence at the Central Criminal Court through the use of a Registered Intermediary.


R v Emmanuel

Our client was the only defendant to be acquitted in the highly publicised murder of Special Constable Nisha Patel Nasri.  This was an extremely complex investigation involving the close analysis of cell-site mobile telephone evidence.  The case was subsequently the subject of BBC television documentary.


R v Denty

The defendant was charged with the murder of the carer of his severely disabled brother outside a nightclub in the East End of London.  The case involved complex ballistic evidence relating to the murder weapon, which was said to have been a Mach 10 machine gun.


R v Brown & others

We represented the first defendant in this gangland murder which featured heavily in Graeme McLagan's recent book 'Guns and Gangs: Inside Black Gun Crime', including the Court of Appeal appeal against conviction.


R v Barzey

We acted for the main defendant in a 12 handed murder following an altercation between two gangs in Hackney.  Following a lengthy trial, our client was acquitted of murder at the close of the prosecution case and subsequently acquitted of attempted murder by the jury.


R v Aylmer

Our firm represented a city trader who asserted that he had been acting in self-defence when he punched the deceased once.   A skull fracture resulted from the deceased’s subsequent fall to the pavement and after 20 months of hospitalization he died as a result of contracting pneumonia.  The case involved complex argument surrounding the issue of causation and our client was acquitted by the jury after thirty-two minutes.


R v AF

A high profile case of a world renowned podiatrist charged with the attempted murder of her husband’s lover in 2006.  The case attracted daily media attention for the duration of the trial.  Our client was ultimately acquitted of attempted murder.
