R v J

We represented this client who was charged with conspiracy to import cocaine over a four year period from mainland Europe into the United Kingdom. The profits of the conspiracy were said to have amount to millions of Euros.  Our Kirsty Monighan was junior counsel in the case.


R v Gunning

This case was a conspiracy to supply a significant quantity of firearms seized from a box in the rear of a vehicle.  There was a substantial amount of surveillance material and the case was linked to the supply of a large quantity of Class A drugs.  Our client was acquitted by the jury following a trial.


R v Franks

This case involved what was at the time the single largest seizure of ecstasy tablets in the United Kingdom and was a complex conspiracy to supply both ecstasy and cocaine.  After two trials, the second of which lasted over six months, our client was acquitted.


R v Dunlop

The defendant was charged with conspiracy to commit cash in transit robberies of deliveries to garages and supermarkets which were said to be linked to firearms offences and drug importation 91kg of cocaine worth approximately £10 million.


R v Delamere

The firm acted for two defendants involved in an allegation of kidnap of a security guard at a building site and an attempt to steal lorry loads of cargo.


R v Davenport

The blackmail of QPR football club chairman Gianni Paladini. Our client was alleged to have attempted to force Mr Paladini to relinquish his shares in QPR involving the use of firearms.  Our client was acquitted following a trial.


R v Dallen & Others

Allegation of child abduction involving organised agencies. The case was complicated by abuse of process arguments and cross jurisdictional issues involving the United States, Venezuela and the UK. The case received international attention due to the defendants position as a supporter of President Clinton and his role as the Editor of a national newspaper in Venezuela.


R v Christian and Smith

We represented both defendants who were charged following the seizure of 20 kilograms of heroin worth in excess £1 million, which had been tracked to the UK from Eastern Europe.
